Village Youth

Jesus invites all to come and see. What could a full, whole, and good life be like? Let’s find out together! Village Youth is all about the journey of learning from Jesus and become more like Jesus together. We are an intentionally multicultural and missional community; this value shapes our learning, mentoring, and events.

Our hope is for all youth to become close friends with Jesus, to know how Jesus would live their life if he was them, and to bring the invitation into God’s journey and family everywhere they go. Come join us on Sundays for Youth Church and Wednesdays for Youth Group. Latest posts from our Instagram, our family newsletters, and more details about our weekly youth experiences can be found below.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to Drew Fajen and the youth team if you have any questions. We can’t wait to know you and to follow Jesus together with you. ♥

Youth Church

Youth Church is a youth-contextualized worship experience where youth are involved in leading each other to worship Jesus. We have musical worship teams led by youth, youth who share their stories, time for sharing in smaller groups, and prayer practices for our youth to connect with Jesus personally and corporately each week. We have Jesus-centered and youth-specific teaching each Sunday that encourages us to grow deeper in friendship with God, love for our neighbors, and action in our world. We also have a lot of fun and friendship.

On the first of every month, youth join our sanctuary service for an intentional multigenerational worship time. Here our youth get a picture of what it looks like to be part of our larger, multicultural church and get to learn and serve alongside adults on our hospitality team, worship team, and in other areas.

10:00-11:30am on Sunday mornings
1st Sunday, multigenerational worship in Sanctuary
2nd-5th Sunday, youth worship experience in Chapel

Youth Group

Youth Group is time for our youth to connect in the middle of the week, in the middle of all the busyness of life, to get away and connect with friends and with God. We set aside Wednesday nights for fun, friendship, learning, sharing, and prayer.

At Middle School Youth Group, we invite youth to build friendship through fun activities, sharing food, sharing stories and reflections on Scripture, and learning experiences (sometimes teaching, sometimes art, sometimes multimedia – always Jesus & Scripture focused).

At High School Youth Group, we invite youth to hang out and have a good time together, to eat food together, to ask hard questions, to earnestly search the Scriptures, to pray for each other, and to learn together through discussion, experiences, art, and teaching.

We have theme nights, invite nights, group nights, and quarterly fun events together to stay up to date, please check out our Instagram and our Village Youth Newsletter.

7-8:30pm every Wednesday.
Middle School meets in the Willamette Rooms & Gym (lower, east-facing side of campus)
High School meets in North Village (above front office)

Summer Camps!

Youth for the City

July 29 – August 1    •    Middle School Missions Camp

We believe this generation is leading the way in understanding that our faith in Jesus deeply informs how we engage with our community. When we love our city, we reveal our love for Jesus. That’s why we are so excited to announce our big summer youth experience.

Youth For The City is a time for our students to experience everything we love about camps all while reflecting the heart of Jesus in the service of our city. Students will attend chapel times with powerful worship and meaningful teaching followed by group discussions and prayer. Our team is putting together all sorts of competitions and recreational activities for our students so that they can connect with one another and deepen lasting friendships. And the centerpiece of this weekend will be the coming alongside of local non-profits and community partners as we reflect God’s heart of service. This four-day experience will be full of opportunities for our students to learn more about what it means to be like Jesus, have lots of fun, and impact our city in meaningful ways.

JaeJah Días

July 15-19   •   High School Missions Camp

Who am I? Do I really believe what I say I believe? What does it really mean to be Jesus’ disciple? What does it look like to live by Jesus’ teaching & lifestyle? What’s the best way to spend my time this summer? How can I make a difference in the world? Jae Jah Días is all about these questions.

제자 : the Korean word “JaeJah” means “disciple” or “learner.”
Días : the Spanish word Días means days.

These are Disciple Days. All incoming 9th graders through 2022 high school graduates are invited to join us for four days of growing together as disciples of Jesus, serving our neighbors, having tons of fun, and making amazing memories together. We’ll take a couple hours each day to serve & love the underprivileged and marginalized in our community. This year we are focusing on caring for women & children at a local women’s and children’s shelter in the area. Each day will begin with a light snack, a message & worship, after taking a couple hours to serve our neighbors, we’ll eat more food, hang out some more, and have fun together in the evening. We are expecting this to be a wonderful, formative time.

Scholarships are available, please contact Pastor Drew Fajen for more information.
