Women walking side by side through God’s creation toward health, support, and friendship.
May Hike: May 18, 9:00am, Iron Mountain Park, Lake Oswego. You are invited to explore a lovely loop trail joining two beautiful Lake Oswego parks, Iron Mountain, and Springbrook. Iron Mountain Park is brand new, opened in 2021, and is part of the city's Iron Heritage trail system. There is some elevation gain getting up Iron Mountain, but it's rewarded by a beautiful view at the top! Varied scenery includes gorgeous homes and gardens, LO's large equestrian center, and historical sites from the area's iron industry past.
• Location: Meet in the large parking lot of Iron Mountain trailhead, 2401 Iron Mountain Blvd, Lake Oswego 97034
• Distance: 3.5-4 miles, 500 feet of elevation gain mostly at the beginning. Poles recommended.
• Time: 2.5-3 hours. You may bring lunch to eat in the picnic shelter after the hike.
• Terrain: Packed wide trail with some wet spots, and short stretches on pavement.
• Driving: Carpooling is encouraged, although there's plenty of parking. From north Beaverton, it's a straight shot down the 217 to Kruse Way to Boone's Ferry.
