Director of Korean Ministries
Kwang was born and raised in South Korea. He and his wife, Hyunjoo, moved to America in 1992, and in 2000, they moved to China as missionaries, taking along their four children: Young, Jeremy, Samuel and Daniel. After 18 years of working with a minority people group called the “Mien,” Kwang and Hyunjoo felt led to return to America to serve Village Baptist Church in 2018. He is now privileged to be ministering to Korean Fellowship in his capacity as the Director of Korean ministries. He recently discovered a love for bowling and greatly enjoys being in the company of others.
“I have lived and worked with people from different cultures in a multicultural organization for about 20 years. I believe that God has continued to lead me to work in ministry settings where I can learn, understand and appreciate the diversity of different cultures to glorify the God who has created different cultures.”
