|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 10:00am, repeating until June 16, 2018

Friday, June 15, 7 – 9pm
Saturday, June 16, 10am – 4pm

Village is proud to host the Kilns College Portland Forum, exploring the topic of “Advocating for Justice that Restores.” You do not want to miss the opportunity to learn from and dialogue with Kilns College instructor and author, Dominque Gilliard. In 2015, he was selected as one of the ECC’s “40 Under 40” leaders to watch, and the Huffington Post named him one of the “Black Christian Leaders Changing the World.” His book “Rethinking Incarceration: Advocating for Justice That Restores,” is an IVPress 2017/18 #1 BEST SELLER.
The event is meant to be both educational and transformational as we learn about the history of mass incarceration, the systemic issues it causes and then dialogue together about ways we can think and live restoratively as the people of God. Please RSVP.
